Joint ride with Judy Thiel group.

All on pavement except a beautiful 2 mile (twice) dirt/gravel dike trail which is very nice even for road bike tires.  Social pace (10-12 mph), A terrain (flat) with one high bridge, about 27 miles.  We will probably see blue herons on the Padilla Bay dike trail.  We will go over a bike/walking bridge over Fidalgo Bay and travel the great Anacortes waterfront trail.  We will stop to buy lunch at about the half way point in Anacortes or you can bring a lunch.

Meet in Bay View at 10:15 AM at the gravel county parking lot (with porti-potti) on 2nd Street on the north side about one block east of main north/south road through Bay View (Bay View-Edison Rd).  From I-5 north bound turn west at Burlington onto Hwy 20.  In 5+ miles turn north (right) where a sign indicates way to Bay View State Park (and Farm House Restaurant is on the left).  Follow the main road until you see 2nd street.

Poor weather or forecast cancels ride. Co-ride leader Bill Lutterloh 360.668.9554, LutterlohB@GMail.com, cell phone day of ride 425.870.6418

If you would like to van pool, car pool, or convoy meet at McCollum Park Park & Ride by 9:00 AM (on the south side of 128th street SE about 5 blocks east of I-5 just north of Lynnwood).  (Look for my full size light brown window van with Bike License Plate.)
