Hello Friends of Trails in Snohomish County,
Join us on June 21st, a Thursday evening, at 5:30 PM, at the Snohomish County Parks offices, 6705 Puget Park Dr, Snohomish, WA 98296, USA (map) for an opportunity to add suggestions and share ideas for the long term planning for Snohomish County Parks.
This will be the second of three opportunities to meet with Parks staff, find out more about their scope of planning and provide your input. The previous outreach meeting at the same location was a great success, Parks staff brought maps and proposals, and their main goal is to hear from you. It was very informative.
This will also be the quarterly general meeting for the Trail Coalition of Snohomish County (AKA Centennial Trail Coalition.)
If you would like some inspiration about how to make things happen in Snohomish County Parks I highly recommend listening to Cascade Hiker Podcast #113 Trails to Success. This podcast interviews two people, Jeb and Rich, who had an idea to help youth in the county and also help trails in Snohomish County. They put the idea to Snohomish County Parks, and Parks made it happen. I found this a really uplifting short story, and even more impressed by the great things happening in our County. You will also learn a little bit more about all that goes in to maintaining the trails in our local parks.
You can also find a link at the Trail Coalition blog listed below.
Look forward to seeing your there and hearing new ideas and suggestions.
Thank you,
George Winters
