SR 536/Skagit River Bridge - Painting

    The bridge in Mt Vernon over the Skagit River that connects West Mt Vernon to downtown Mt Vernon will be repainted starting in May 2026 and the eastbound lane will be closed meaning no eastbound traffic will be allowed over the bridge, but westbound traffic will continue during daytimes.  Pedestrians and cyclists will still be able to cross.

    This project may impact bike ride plans using this bridge.
