Island County is developing a Safety Action Plan with the goal of reducing serious road crashes. See the web page.

In-person meeting 4 p.m. Oct. 30 Camano Administration Building. Also virtual meetings Nov. 12 & 14, and an online survey.

      1. Go to the website and add a marker if there is stretch of road you have safety concerns about and/or fill out the survey: https://dks-engage.com/IRTPO
      2. Pass this message along to other Camano residents who walk and/or cycle on Camano.

Biking and pedestrian safety are especially important to emphasize.  We need to point out areas where there are people crossing busy roads and shoulders that are too narrow for bikes to ride on safely in order for change to occur.  Driving hazards, such as locations with poor visibility, intersections where it is difficult to take a left hand turn, etc. are also important to note.
