    EDMONDS, Wash. — Police are investigating an incident in which two armed men assaulted and robbed two women walking on the Interurban Trail in Edmonds around 6 p.m. Wednesday.

    The attack occurred on the trail, just west of the 76th Ave West intersection, according to the Edmonds Police Department. Police said the suspects ran behind the victims and each pressed a gun against them.

    One victim was reportedly robbed of her cell phone, and the suspects used her face-recognition feature to unlock the phone. Both victims suffered minor injuries after the suspects struck them with their weapons.

    One suspect was a black male between 22 and 25 years old, between 5-foot-8 and 5-10, with a medium build. He was wearing a black gator mask, black or red hoody and black sweatpants.

    The other suspect was a male with a dark complexion, between 18 and 22 years old, 6-feet tall with a slim build. He was wearing a teal gator mask, a teal jacket with a zipper and black sweatpants.

    The vehicle the suspects drove was a black Nissan Altima, early 2000s, with chrome trim around tinted windows. There was no front or rear license plates.

    Both suspects were seen getting into the backseat of the Altima before the vehicle took off northbound.
