Burlington - North State Rec Area Mod Ride @ 10 AM

Register by 8 PM evening before the ride if you intend to go. Group size limited to 8 club members including the Ride Leader.
Moderate (14 – 16 mph) pace expected, 36 miles, A & B terrain with maybe 600 (six hundred) feet of elevation gain. Frequent regroups. I expect to ride my gravel bike.
Meet at 9:45 AM for a 10:00 AM roll out at Chuckanut Park & Ride, Burlington, I-5 exit 231. Chuckanut Park & Ride is easily seen to the right from the exit ramp.
Loop ride on some town streets, Skagit County country roads, a few short sections of WA state Hwys 20 and Old 99N. Rest rooms are at the parks. Planned stops at the Skagit River Park (mile 2), Riverfront Park (mile 10) and Northern State Recreation Area (mile 22), which is also the site of the old Northern State Hospital. We'll ride a couple miles on hard pack gravel trails. Bring water, snacks, and a picnic lunch. Coffee stop late in the ride at Starbucks (mile 34).

This route may have tight turns and short sections with narrow gravel paths and is intended for 2-wheel road or gravel bikes ridden by experienced bicyclists.
