March Point P&R to Anacortes

March Point Park and Ride to Anacortes (Social Pace) 

Thursday, September 24th, 10:30 a.m.

Meet at approximately 10:15 for intros, safety overview at the Park and Ride on the south side of March Point. (March Point P&R)  Ride is about 18 miles on mostly "A" terrain with some sections of rolling hills.  

This route is a combination of trail and roads; some involving riding with traffic and stop and go sections in the city area of Anacortes.  You should feel confident maneuvering in these situations safely in a group setting.   

After riding around March Point we will join the trail at the Tommy Thompson trail to connect to Anacortes.  We will get off the trail and meander a bit around the outskirts of Anacortes, stopping at a few spots for scenic views, etc, as indicated on the route link.  

Lunch stop at Gere-a-Deli.  BRING A BIKE LOCK. 

Precautions:  If you've ridden on the Tommy Thompson trail, you know that there is a section of trail that can be littered with oyster shells. Be prepared with tools to fix a flat tire OR alternate plans if this should happen.
