Daffodils and Scones High Steady Ride
We're going to leave from the South Mt. Vernon Park and Ride head out to La Conner for a scone and coffee (for those that drink the stuff) then loop back through the fields to see some daffodils (the flower kind, not this kind). The route is 30.5 miles long with the 270 feet of elevation gain. Pace will be at the top of steady, bottom of moderate.
Meet at 9:45 AM at the South Mt. Vernon Park and Ride for a 10:00 AM roll out. Two things to note. First, the word "South" in the location is very important. If you leave it out, most navigation systems will take you to the wrong park and ride. Second, and maybe more importantly, is that there is no bathroom at the start, so plan accordingly. The main bathroom stop is in La Conner at just about the half way point.
