Stanwood P&R – Big Lake Mod Ride @ 9 AM

Register by 8 PM evening before the ride. Group size limited to 8. 

Meet at 8:45 AM for a 9:00 AM rollout.  Moderate (14 – 16 mph) to brisk (16 - 18 mph) pace expected.  56 miles and about 2,584 feet of gain, A & B and perhaps some C terrain.  Frequent regroups.

Ride from Stanwood Park & Ride mostly northerly on country roads, then east on Little Mountain Road to loop around Big Lake.  Rest & lunch stop at the BLG (Big Lake Grocery) at mile 25.  We'll return from Big Lake via Mountain View Road and ride through east Mt Vernon.  Other rest and regroup stops expected too.  

Note: this route now uses the recently reopened Cedardale Rd and avoids Pioneer Hwy.

This route may have tight turns and short sections with narrow gravel paths and is intended for 2-wheel road or gravel bikes ridden by experienced bicyclists.
