Ride Name: Snohomish-Monroe Loop back roads (Steady)

Ride Leader: John Whitehouse

RL Contact Info: 360 932 8874

Pace, Terrain, Length: 12-14 mph, A/B, 29 miles

Route Link: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/48648913

Planned Stops: Rest stop at Lake Tye Park with flush toilet (MP 10); end of ride stop at Snohomish bakery.

Please Bring: Tire change equipment, snacks and water.

Leave from Snohomish library (consider parking on 3rd street where CT intersects or in Boys & Girls club lot across the street if parking is a problem). This route spares you from taking the traditional biking route to Monroe on the now very busy Old Snohomish-Monroe Road. We will be on a lot of hilly low traffic no shoulder roads for about the first 8 miles. Then 3 miles on city streets in Monroe with a fair amount of traffic. Be aware that we will finish the city area of Monroe on the busy S. Lewis street for 1.3 miles with 55 mph speed limit including a bridge where we need to take the lane because of no shoulder. Then later another 4 miles of hilly no shoulder mostly low traffic roads.
