Anacortes & Mt Erie & La Conner Mod Ride @ 9 AM
Ride across a channel twice, next to five bays, and up a mountain with significant views due to local prominence of 1,273 feet.

Register by 8 PM evening before the ride. Group size limited to 8.
Moderate (14 – 16 mph) to brisk (16 - 18 mph) pace expected, 46 miles, A/B/C terrain with 3,230 feet of elevation gain. Frequent regroups and rest stops expected along the way.
Note: this is an exploratory ride on a new route. Adventure expected.
Meet at 8:45 AM for a 9:00 AM roll out at the Swinomish Channel Boat Launch parking lot under the SR 20 twin bridges, east of Anacortes. This is a bigger than normal bike adventure with friends. Restrooms nearby.
We'll ride on paved roads and bridges over the Swinomish Channel, around March's Point, across the Tommy Thompson Trail bridge over Fidalgo Bay, across Anacortes, do the big climb up Mt Erie with spectacular views, stop for coffee & lunch at the Lake Erie Grocery (mile 24), then on through Similk Beach, Snee Oosh, Shelter Bay, cross the Swinomish Channel again to go through La Conner (mile 38), and back to where we started.

This route may have tight turns and short sections with narrow gravel paths and is intended for 2-wheel road or gravel bikes ridden by experienced bicyclists.
