March Point-Anacortes-Washington Park Mod Ride

RL: Neil Gilham, 206-595-7074, neilski55@hotmail.com

Meet at the March Point P&R at 9:45 AM for a 10:00 AM roll out.  https://maps.app.goo.gl/xpv3sZDbCY2pqFwA9

29 miles, 1,300 feet elevation gain.

Moderate pace, tempered by shared trail users (Tommy Thompson Trail) and some twists and turns through residential areas. Mainly quiet streets. Part of the ride will be along SR 20 (to the SJI ferry dock)  that is generally low speed traffic; has wide shoulders and bike lanes. We'll regroup as needed.

There could be broken clam shells on a portion of the Tommy Thompson Trail that crosses Fidalgo Bay. Gulls drop clams here to break them open.

This is a scenic ride with water views most of the way. We'll stop in a few places to admire the views. We'll make a longer snack stop at the Washington Park Overlook. Coffee stop at the world famous Donut House in Anacortes, where the blueberry fritters weigh more than your carbon frame and will add weight to your physical frame that this ride will not burn off.

Bring the necessary flat fixit accessories and a smiling face.

Rain, smoke, tsunami, or other unfortunate catastrophic occurrences will cancel the ride.
