Pre-Picnic Social Pace Ride

Saturday, August 16th.  Meet at 10:30 at Legion Park in North Everett (the picnic venue)

We will gather in the parking lot at Legion Park (near the play area) a little before 10:30 for introductions and safety talk. 

Our ride will be about 10 miles - social pace (10-11 mph).  Some minimal elevation (but not flat). We will coast downhill to the boat launch and north marina area and take the Grand Avenue elevator back up and meander around North Everett, stopping at a few points of interest along the way.  

This ride is mostly on urban streets, mixed traffic volume, but with generally a bike lane/shoulder.  We will be crossing busy intersections with a lot of stop-and-go and tight turns.  You should feel comfortable and steady handling your bike in these situations and in a group of riders.  We will regroup as needed, although there are several stops already planned along the route.  

We should be back to the picnic area by 12 or 12:30 in time for lunch.
