Edmonds - Hansville Mod Ride @ 8:30 AM

Ride Leader:  Rick Proctor 425-293-3153, BikeHound@comcast.net.

Register by 8 PM evening before the ride. Group size limited to 8.

Moderate pace (14 – 16 mph).  34 miles, A/B terrain with ~2,700 feet of elevation gain.

Meet at 8:30 AM for an 8:45 AM readiness to board the WSDOT Ferry at Edmonds to go to Kingston.  Acquire your ferry ticket inside the passenger terminal.  In the link, scroll down to a section regarding "Bikes" for pertinent info.  There is also a section for "Parking".

Parking in Edmonds is a problem for a ride expected to be longer than the nearby street parking limit.  There is a pay for parking lot near the ferry terminal, or a variety of parks several miles away, or perhaps you know a local who's home you could park at, or just ride from your home.

We will plan on taking the 9:05 AM ferry from Edmonds and expect to arrive in Kingston at about 9:30 AM.  We'll meet our coffee stop host and fellow rider at Kiwanis Park next to the Kingston ferry parking lot.

This will be an early start for a bigger than average day on your bike with friends.  We will each buy our own ferry ticket, ride the ferry to Kingston, ride our bikes up to Hansville and the Point No Point Lighthouse, then ride south for a coffee stop at a rider's home, then back to Kingston for the ferry back to Edmonds.  Rest stops expected.  Frequent regroups.  Bring enough water and snacks.

Foul weather or other awesome event cancels, check your e-mail or text for ride updates.
