About 42 miles, Steady Pace, B & C Terrain.
Meet at Gold Bar Elementary Parking lot, close to 5th and Linda in Goldbar.
Meet Time 9:45 for a 10:00 departure.
This will be an out-and-back ride starting in Goldbar, and going to Index then up the reopened-last-fall Index-Galena Road as far as it is paved at about mile 21. We will turn around at the Troublesome Creek campground for the mostly downhill run back to the start.
The Goldbar to Index portion is on the quiet Reiter Road. RWGPS shows it as unpaved, but Streetview shows it paved. Gravel capable tires are advised. There is one notable climb after the start, followed by mostly gentle climbing until the turn around, gaining 1800 feet and a total of 2600 feet at the finish.
This will be a bit of an exploration as I have only ridden parts of the route years ago. Research shows it all looks good, but we may have to improvise parts. I have not been riding much so it will be a slow steady pace going up, feel free to go ahead if you are up for it.

Planned Stops: Index General Store, mile 11 going up and Mile 31 going down, and at Troublesome Creek.
Bring plenty of water and snacks. There may not be food available at Index. Steady rain will cancel. Check ride updates. Group size set at 10 including ride leader. Bring snacks and flat repair equipment. Restroom stops depend upon availability of facilities. E-bikes are allowed on BIKES rides per club insurance requirements.
