Fir Island - Social Pace
Tuesday, June 18th - 10:30 (roll out time)
Meet in the gravel parking lot across the street from the FIR-CONWAY
LUTHERAN CHURCH. This is a different spot from where we usual start -
on the corner of Fir Island Road and Skagit City Road.
Arrive at 10:15 for introduction/safety briefing. There are no restrooms available at the starting point. Plan accordingly. We will stop at the Fir Island Farms Reserve Unit at mile 15 (appx) where there is a "sani-can". Starting at the new spot avoids going over the bridge.
Ride is about 20 miles, all "A" (flat) terrain, on low traffic rural roads. Social pace (10-11 mph).
Bring water/snacks. Optional lunch stop at the Taqueria near the roundabout at the Chevron Station after the ride.
Rain or worsening forecast will cancel this ride.
