Ferndale, Lummi, SAGE Radar Tower, Semiahmoo Loop

Loop the lummi Peninsula (not the island), views of Cherry Point (biggest oil refinery in Washington State), Birch Bay and also the decommissioned SAGE radar tower (historic Blaine Air Force Station), Semiahmoo (historically the first salmon cannery in Whatcom county)

Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start time.   9:30am start time

Length:    70 Miles.

Pace: low brisk

Terrain:  2300 feet of elevation gain.   A little bit of smooth trail ( we can skip if unfavorable)

Planned Stops: cherry point, birch bay, Semiahmoo, picnic lunch or purchase at the marina cafe at Semiahmoo. Bay Horizon Park on the return, site of the decommissioned SAGE radar tower
