Cherry Blossom Social Ride

Tuesday, March 19th, 10:30 a.m. 

Meet at Log Boom Park in Kenmore about 10:15 for introduction and safety meeting.  

21 miles on the Burke Gilman to University of Washington. Social pace (10-11 mph) Mostly flat with a few gentle grades.  We will spend 15 to 20 minutes at the University enjoying the cherry trees on the quad.  Expect it to be fairly crowded.  I think the trees are just beginning to bloom.  

You should feel comfortable riding in a group on the trail with other users, with some rough (rooted) trail conditions in spots.  We will be walking in the area of the blooming trees for a good part of our time there.  

We will stop for a lunch break after the university at the Metro Market along the trail, or bring a snack/picnic lunch.
