Log Boom to Magnuson Park
Thursday, January 19th, 10:30 a.m.
Meet at 10:15 at Log Boom Park for introductions and safety briefing.
This route is about 18 miles long, mostly on the Burke Gilman Trail, with some off trail riding and busy crossroads. Social Pace (10-11 mph) A and B terrain, with some gentle climbing. We will go off trail and do a loop around Magnuson Park and along the waterfront.
Sound Garden
If we are allowed on the site, we will make a short visit to the Sound Garden which is on the NOAA property adjacent to Magnuson Park. If you wish to do this you will need to have identification (drivers license) with you to get onto NOAA property.
We will take a break for lunch at the Magnuson Cafe and Brewery next to the Cascade Bike Club headquarters. There are tables outside the bike club offices if you would rather bring a picnic lunch. Allow 45 minutes to an hour for lunch. Plan to be back at Log Boom approximately 2:00 to 2:30 depending on how long we stop at the Sound Garden (and if we stop).
