Skagit Acres and Fir Island

Tuesday, October 18th, 10:30 a.m. 

Meet in the gravel parking lot towards the back of the Skagit Acres Nursery on 18923 Peter Johnson Rd, Mt Vernon, WA 98273  https://www.skagitacres.com/

Meet at 10:15 for a 25 ish mile ride from the Skagit Acres.  Social Pace (11-12 mph on flats), mostly flat rural roads with some sections along busier Fir Island Road.  Almost completely flat, except for crossing the bridge onto the island.  Restroom available at start and we will stop at the Skagit Wildlife Area picnic shelter for a rest break, and a pit toilet is available.

Optional lunch at the Skagit Cafe inside the nursery after the ride.  

Sunny weather expected, and hopefully air quality improvement by Tuesday.  But please check ride updates for any last minute changes or cancellations.  Poor weather and/or air quality will cancel this ride.  I will post cancellation by 8:00 a.m. Tuesday morning.
