Ride Name: 3 Lakes Loop to Mero Road
Meet at 9:45 AM for a 10:00AM start at the ride leader's home, (see below). 27 miles, hilly but nothing too challenging. B terrain, traffic likely. The route follows the Old Snohomish to Monroe Road, then heads into the hills up the new bike path along Chain Lake Road, then on to Mero Road before the downhill return to the start.
We will have optional a post-ride BBQ at the ride leader's house. We will provide some hot dogs and burgers, or bring something of your own for the grill.
See the route on RideWithGPS here. No cue sheets will be provided, but they can be printed from the RWGPS site.
Regroups as necessary, climb at your own pace. Most of the rural roads on this route do not have shoulders so be prepared to yield to passing cars.
Steady pace, the ride leader will not exceed the steady pace of 12 -14MPH on the flats.
Steady rain/snow/excessive heat or smoke cancels. Check ride updates.
Group size set at 10 including ride leader. Bring snacks, flat repair equipment. Restroom stops depend upon availability of facilities. Class 1 and class 3 E-bikes are allowed on BIKES rides (per club insurance requirements).
