Fir Island Flats from Conway 

Wednesday, July 20, 10:30 a.m. start from the parking lot at the Ball Fields (near the Muse at the west end of Main Street) 

Meet at 10:15 for an 18 mile, social pace, low elevation ("A" terrain) route around Fir Island.  Slight hill crossing the bridge onto the island.  Mostly low trafficked rural farm roads, with a few miles of busier traffic along Fir Island Road.  

Bring a snack or picnic lunch for a rest stop at the Skagit Wildlife picnic shelter about mile 15 where there is a "rustic restroom" available.  Restroom availability at the start area is in doubt, plan accordingly.  There are two convenience stores in Conway. 

Weather forecast looks good, but rain or poor weather forecast will cancel this ride.  Bring extra water and snacks/food and don't forget the sunscreen!
