A Tuesday, June 14 Steady Pace Ride option will meet at the Snohomish Library at 9:45am with roll out at 10:00am. We will ride to the Machias Trailhead via Sexton Road and trail. The route takes us briefly onto Machias Rd, which can be busy and has limited shoulders-extra caution on this segment will be required.
Scenic Schwarzmiller Road will highlight the trip and we will see it from both directions (out and back). Bathroom access will be available at Machias Trailhead and North Cove Park in Lake Stevens. Bring a snack if you like, we will find a stopping point along the way.
The route is 27 miles, steady pace is 12-14mph on the flats, with self paced climbs and regroups at the top as needed. Hills, yes. Steady rain will cancel the ride, showers will not. Check Ride Updates by 8:30am if weather looks iffy.
