This ride has been rescheduled to Monday, April 11. No paint ride on Sunday April 10 or Tuesday next week.
Volunteers are needed to help mark a McClinchy Mile route. If you have ridden other events or marked in the past, please come. Newbies also welcome - we'll start with a brief training so marks are consistent and clear.
Ride meets at 10:30 a.m. in the Stanwood QFC parking lot, near Starbucks, 27008 92nd Ave NW, Stanwood
Ideally we'll mark in pairs. We'll also be checking the maps and cue sheets for accuracy. Paint rides are weather dependent - the roads must be dry. A second painting ride may be needed on April 19.
Ride Leader: Kristin Kinnamon, 425-923-7868
Pace, Terrain, Length: Steady pace with lots of stops; first priority is to mark the hilly 35 mile Camano route. Flat 15 mile Stanwood route will be marked if we have enough time and people.
Route Link: See McClinchy page.
Planned Stops: restrooms and brief snack stop at Cama Beach State Park; post ride food and beverages at SAAL Brewing.
Please Bring: A bike (with a kickstand?) that can carry stuff (paint cans, rags), older bike shoes and gloves (might get some new coloring), water and snacks.
