Title of ride: Bayview to Anacortes
Day of week and date of ride: Saturday, February 27th
Start location and time: Meet at 10:15 for a 10:30 roll out at the gravel parking lot for the Shore Trail (on 2nd Street)
Description of route: We will start out riding alongside the steady pace group that Dan is leading, but will then keep to a social pace and join the group again in Anacortes for a lunch/snack break. Ride will follow the dike trail up to Highway 20, and we will be on the wide shoulder of the highway for a short distance before getting on the separated bike lane. We'll cross over to Anacortes on the Tommy Thompson trail and then search for food trucks or likely lunch spot in town.
Our route will cut off going around March point to keep distance a little shorter. Mostly A terrain (flat) with one significant hill climbing over the bridge going both ways.
Distance, Pace and Terrain Code (A, B, C, D): 26 miles, Social pace (11 to 12 mph) A and B terrain. Expect some traffic in areas.
