CARNATION TO RATTLESNAKE LAKE

 SUNDAY MARCH 30

Because of limited trailhead parking at Carnation trailhead:

MEET in Carnation at Fred Hockert Park   4602 Stossel Avenue   9:45 am for a 10 AM rollout - Restroom available at start

Weather is predicted good to ride the Snoqualime Valley Trail from Carnation to Snoqualime Falls to North Bend then to Rattlesnake Lake and back with a coffee in North Bend or Carnation on return depending on group decision.   Trail is hard pack crushed gravel suitable for most bikes with at least 32C tires.   There will be some paved roads and traffic areas in route, but mostly trail.    There will limited soft dirt/mud areas on trail.  BRING repair kit, water, snack, and a fun attitude.

48 miles with about 1800 feet of elevation gain.  Steady pace with gradual old railroad grades and numerous stops for scenery or breaks.   Estimate 4 hours of riding time or close to 5 1/2 hours total with a heavy bike (which I'll have).
