We will have a brisk ride Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. Starting location is Mill Creek Sports Park, 13903 North Creek Dr, Mill Creek, WA 98012. That's the usual time and place. Please arrive 10 minutes early for sign in and pre-ride pep talk. There are restrooms at the starting location.
It's a double loop ride, totaling 50 miles. Riders have two options: First do the whole thing, totaling 50 miles, or take a shortcut back to start at about mile 27, so the total ride would then be 30 miles. Your choice.
Here's the Ride With GPS route: Two Loops 27+23=50 Miles DME or https://ridewithgps.com/routes/32045908
Pace: brisk = 16-18 mph on the flats. Slower uphills, faster downhills.
Terrain: C. About 2,600 feet with a couple of challenging hills. Bring a low gear.
Riders opting for the 30 mile option may decide to go to Central Market for lunch. There may be other groups there eating lunch. Riders going the full distance will not have that option. We can stop in Snohomish at about mile 35 and get a quick coffee and snack. No long lunch stop planned.
We'll stop every 10-15 miles as needed for breaks.
Be ready for wet weather as there's 10-25% chance of rain during our ride time. Those with no or short fenders will be asked to ride at the back of the group.
The usual ... bring a self-sufficiency kit: tube, patch kit, multi-tool, snack and water, map/route/gps, cell phone, money, etc.
