Meet in Glacier on Hwy 542, Mt Baker Hwy for a 10:00 am start on Aug 10th. A Friday ride will minimize vehicular traffic exposure. Glacier is about a 100 mile drive from Mill Creek so leave before 8:00 am. The route is 49 miles will climb 4100' up Hwy 542 past Mt Baker Ski Area to the summit at Artist Pt 5077' elevation. Climb at your own pace but we will hang together for mutual support. We will regroup at the top before descending. At the bottom there is a deli/restaurant/ice cream shop to help us celebrate our days accomplishment. There is a reason it's called Artist Pt, it has knockout gorgeous views. No services after Glacier including a water source. Bring plenty of water for yourself and food to keep fueled. Also, bring extra clothes incase it becomes cold or wet. Include extra tubes and whatever needed to be self-sufficient for a ride with no services. This ride will be joining with a COGS ride lead by Tom Tanner.
