Join the Hurricane Ridge Ride sponsored by the Cyclists of Greater Seattle (COGS) and West Sound Triathlon Club (WSTC), a non supported high moderate to brisk paced ride, Saturday June 15. About 80 miles with ~ 7,000 feet of climbing. Take the 7:10 Edmonds-Kingston Ferry, drive to School at 601 N Sequim Ave, Sequim. We'll depart about 9 am after all the cars arrive from the ferry. Ride 20 miles to the Olympic Nat'l Park Ranger Station ($5.00 fee - free with senior park pass) there will be a regroup, snack and fill water bottles before the 17 mile 5,000' steady climb, ride at your own pace to the top. Carry extra energy bars to refuel on the way up.  Buy lunch at the top in the Lodge. Have spares to deal with flats.  The road is in good condition, repaved 3 years ago. Bring wind breakers, vests, arm and legwarmers for the ride down, mountain weather can change unexpectedly. The ride will be cancelled with a heavy rain or an unusually cold weather forecast.  Carpooling encouraged. Bob Nyberg 206 795-1363.
