In talking to some of my bikey friends lately, we thought it might be fun to create a team "BIKES Club of Snohomish Country" to participate in this years Cycle the Wave event September 18th.

This ride is an all women's event, supporting domestic violence programs in our local area. Not only a good cause, but an AMAZING riding experience, whether you are just getting back into cycling, or are a hard core experienced rider. You can choose a route between 12 and 65 miles. It's all about the fun and supporting each other no matter what level we are at.

This is a fundraising event, and we do have a team "goal" but fundraising is NOT required to take part in the event and there is no pressure to do so, although there are some nice incentives for those who would like to.

If you want to join the team, just click on the link and choose "join a team" and search for BIKES Club.... then just follow the step by step instructions. It will ask you to choose a fundraising goal, but remember that is NOT a requirement to ride.
